I think my top successes have been finishing my scarf and learning pearl stitches. Those were both difficult parts of my project and they turned out good.

Switching between pearl stitches and the other stitches is proving more difficult than I thought. I haven't worked on my hat a whole lot, but I probably will this weekend. Knitting a hat seems easier than crocheting a hat though. In crochet, you have to shrink or widen the hat and it's easy to make a mistake, but it's easier to hide it. In knitting I think that it's harder to hide a mistake, but I don't have to shrink or widen the hat. Knitting is proving to be an interesting experience.

I've started on my hat. It's more difficult than the scarf because you have to use needles that have a wire attached so that you can knit in a circle. Also I had to learn the pearl stitch and I don't know if I'm doing it right or not. I'm trying though and I think that when I continue it today it will turn out ok.

I've finally finished my scarf! I'm going to try to post pictures later. It turned out well with some minor errors.

I ran into a bit of a predicament. So when you knit you apparently should count the stitches as you knit (learned that the hard way). I didn't do that.... So I had to almost entirely redo my scarf. I'm ok though, it's going fast. But I'm still kind of sad that I had to redo so much work.

I finally started knitting! I feel so accomplished. I'm knitting a scarf and I have messed up a few times but it looks pretty good.

I have talked to my mom about helping me with the project because she is learning how to knit as well. I figured that she's a good teacher and that she could teach me some of the things that she learned and give me tips.
I haven't really done a lot for my project this week. I feel so bad! But, I did find a YouTube video that has a scarf knitting pattern. I think I might start on it either today in class or tomorrow.

This is a blog for my language class. We are doing a 20% time project until the end of the school year.

Product

Technology
I will have pictures of me knitting and possibly some music.
Reality Check
I will need knitting needles, and lots of yarn.
Possible Roadblocks
Time will definitely be a roadblock because yarn art takes a long time (I learned that from crochet experience).
Conclusion
This will be a fun project because I have wanted to learn how to knit for a while. I would love to expand my useful art skills and make many interesting projects for the rest of my life.

I hope that these projects will turn out amazing in the end!
